A bill that would eliminate Washington's new rule allowing transgender people to use bathrooms and locker rooms in public buildings consistent with their gender identity passed out of a Senate committee 4-3 Wednesday

Fortunately, the article seems to say the bill will never clear the procedural hurdles needed to allow to come to the vote.

These bills will keep coming up until we as a community educate the general population about our bathroom needs.

"A bill to repeal a rule allowing transgender individuals in Washington state to use public bathrooms based on their gender identity has cleared a state Senate committee.

The Daily Signal reported previously that the state's Human Rights Commission approved the rule, which requires such access to sex-specific facilities including bathrooms and locker rooms. It took effect Dec. 26."
