Longtime members are well aware of my dating frustration. I've been trying to meet people to date for over two years and have yet to have a woman show the slightest romantic interest in me. It's been really hard to meet women and online dating has been a frustration.

I noticed there is a new lesbian meetup in my area that started a few weeks ago: Baltimore Gay Women Singles Tired Of Online Dating.

It looked perfect. They had a bunch of really great looking activities. I clicked the join button. After a few days of not being added I sent the organizer a message.

"The group is full," she messages back.

Awwh that's rough, a full group?  Bummer.  I'll be honest though, some lesbians aren't okay with mtf women, just like a cis woman may not be comfortable with a ftm man.  Sorry for the darker thought but it happens unfortunately.

Hmm, I can't say I recall Baltimore as being a particularly LGBT friendly place.  If you're in a good position overall there's places north and south of Baltimore that might be worth the trip honestly.  I live not too far from there and I know what's around.  Richmond is a good place last time I was there.  Some place in Massachusetts I think too...  But all of these are travel and may not suit your options.  Just a thought.

I've actually come across the best people on non-dating sites; actually ones that at hardly social media at all.  Maybe that's just my luck of the draw, but its true.

I used to be around about 18 months ago but I don't recall much about you Suzi :(  Sorry!!  Many *hugs*

I'm guessing even though I don't know for sure , but there are a lot of lesbians that would not date a trans. I was on a dating site and put down I was trans and never got anyone replying.

After a personal conversation it turns out that one girl was just shy to ask me what I have down there and they were gonna judge me off of that :/

Did they know you are trans?? :(

I don't think so, though I met one of the organizers at another event. She had been genuinely friendly, so I don't think my being trans would be a problem. But, yes, it's a possibility.

You might be right, but the local lesbian scene (such as it is) is the only place to go where most of the women might be interested in women. If I just avoid it because they might not like me for being trans, where else do I go to meet lesbians?

Sounds like they need a larger venue. Maybe ask if you can be put on a notify list.

I guess for myself personally I'm just more interested in friends and if connections can be made from that fine , but I'm not that into sex that much, if it happens it happens, but I'm also bisexual  so I know if its just sex I can easily get it.
