I have had a few doctors appointments and have had a therapist for years and my doctor said he will "most likely" prescribe hormones at my next visit next week, but today was the first physical action I have been able to take so far towards actually transforming.

I went to my first laser hair appointment. It was really great and the technician was a young girl who asked why I wanted to remove my beard, but in a sweet, "I'm cool so let's just get this out in the open" sort of way (of course the female clothing and jewelry was probably a tip off. She said she had many transgender clients and made me feel super comfortable. She said the fact that I will be starting estrogen will help the process and she seemed almost as excited as I was.

I haven't been able to have my body regulated by the proper hormones. I haven't as yet had any surgeries to align my body with my soul. But today I got the first tangible evidence of my willingness, readiness, and determination to be true to myself. To be who I truly am. To believe I have the right to be happy.

All in all it was a good day.

I have just had my second laser treatment and it has made a huge improvement. As far as passing goes I feel like it has helped me immensely. It can take a few days for your face to stop looking angry with you, but after that its wonderful. Also don't worry about shaving with laser, it in no way interferes, it actually seems to help target the roots of the hairs when you get treated. Just try to avoid too much sun exposure because the skin pigment can affect the intensity of the laser they can use.

With Love,
Myrrial

Well done to get to this point. It's an amazing feeling to finally be taking those first steps to alleviate the dysphoria.

Oh I went to see my laser people and they thought I was from the base and too lazy to shave. I was like uhmm nope. Then they told me that they serve the community,  which I already knew.

Then they were like when are you gonna schedule your Brazilian?

Funny because the girl who did my treatment had just gotten a lip injection from one of the other the other girls in the same spa and I was like, "oh cool...you do that too? That's next on my list." :)

Ha! The girl at the place where I get my laser done told me that a brazillian is their most popular treatment.

I have had 2 sessions for laser Brazilian front, back, everything so far.  Am so happy that I won't have to shave those areas. Way worth the embarrassment of getting it done.
