My mother-in-law and I have broken through our communication barrier.  I've been emailing with her about books that we're reading.  I'm not out to my wife's family yet, but I'd like to fix that sooner than later.  I'd like to recommend a novel to her.  Ideally, it would touch on nonbinary gender identities and our experiences.  Ideally, she'd have some awareness of our situation after reading this, so when I come out to her she can make better sense of it.

Anybody got a favorite?

There's this book I downloaded as a free ebook on the actual author's website titled the GENDER book. I'm not sure I am allowed to post the link or not. But just do a google search. I think that would be a good one. Just be sure that whoever you share this with has an open mind. :)

I haven't finished reading it yet, but if I knew people who legitimately wanted to understand me, they'd give this one a definite read!
