Surgeon requests Pre-Op Photos

I am planning my surgery for this summer, going outside US for it.  I am planning on SRS and BA at the same time, same surgeon.   However, my surgeon is requesting an unclothed photo to get an idea of the work involved and your body proportions.  "the surgeons will still want to see your whole body for overall contouring and proportional relativity. He may recommend additional procedures  or even another or a different procedures based on their assessment of your body proportions and contouring."  This makes sense to me (especially for implant size and proportionality).  My question for you (my trans-brain-trust)... Is this normal for those going to out of country like to Thailand?  This is the first time I've heard of this in preparation for the surgeries.

They also asked for a photo or two of a celebrity etc with the breast size you are looking for.  Again this kinda of makes sense to me, in the sense that it shows what your initial expectation is.  Then they surgeon and compare that with your body contour and better advise you.
Thank you advance for your quick reply.

Many surgeons want pictures of private parts before surgery to being able to make an assessment.

If you are concerned about privacy you might black out the eyes with a rectangle.

Here were a few additional hints concerning surgery:

Just for your interest pregnant women often have a breast size increase of one cup or more, permanently.
So some endos give higher doses of estrogen and bioidentical progesterone for growth stimulation.
It might take some time though.

Please be aware having both procedures might be straining. So being prepared beforehand, stopping smoking, healthy nutrition and regular exercises might help.
Also someone as company there should be a good idea.

Hi,

That was my experience when speaking with surgeons outside of the country. I was considering a surgeon in Serbia for my bottom surgery before I had insurance coverage. We planned a consult when he would be in the United States, and he requested that I take pictures of everything downstairs so that we could maximize the value of the short time we'd have to speak pre-op.

Don't recollect ever having to send any pictures to my doctor in Thailand.

Thank you everyone.  So sounds like it is common, but perhaps not all surgeons require.  I didn't think about blacking the eyes out.  That was a good suggestion. Coordinating my surgery for Guadalajara. I read someone else on here had a (relatively) positive experience, so far the surgeon seems good from what I can tell, and I have spent some time in country near there. So I feel comfortable with that as well.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

It seems there is one surgeon who had some training with Dr Bowers.

You might think about Brassard.
With the can $ where it is he is above 14 K.

Brassard has a lot of experience and a 10 day recovery in a residency is included.
