Since being on hormones my sense of smell is definitely different and more sensitive in general.

Hi,

My sense of smell changed quit a bit (which also affected my sense of taste).

Not uncommon at all.

Hugs

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

For me, my sense of smell and sight -- ability to see colors more brilliantly -- improved within 2 or 3 months of starting medical female HRT. Trans friends have reported this to me also. xx

I think the original poster was talking about pre-HRT. Yes, it is possible, if the stress of GD and hiding your true self was causing clinical depression. Clinical depression dulls the senses and to some degree, the emotions. The world can literally seem brighter and more vibrant with that weight lifted.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!
