hi this is Christine's wife to be,
me and Christine have had the police come out to us about 5 times this year and now we have alarms on us all the time now when we go out.
i recently got followed home and it scared me , we had the police out yesturday as some people in our street was shouting at us, its getting to a point were we are feeling like we dont want to leave the house.
i would love some advice please on how to deal with this with my Christine <3
recently Christine has lost all her family due to them harassing us and discriminating us so now Christine has only got my family.

It sounds like your neighbourhood has become toxic and dangerous and the police cannot/will not help. Is moving in any way an option?

we cant move we went to the council and the council said its Christines fault for being transexual and that they dont want to help its annoying.

It is good to read that Christine still has you and your family to turn to for support. And it sucks that the cops aren't helping. It sounds like you are in the position were the police can't do much unless someone gets really hurt. I agree that moving away is the simplest way out but if you can't then all you can do is ignore the undesirable neighbours and hope that someone doesn't take things further. You two could always join a self defence class or something.

Hi it's Christine, it's not just neboughs it's lot of people all over town, Josie got chased home the other day by a small gang with a rather large dog.  She was so terrified I cried to see her in such a state. Josie and myself can't seem to find a way out of this town nor can my support worker , as I'm transsexual and mental I'll Im on low disabled benefits so no private landlords will help us and the council pretty much have discriminated me saying that I need to be put in hospital first before they would care.  The police have told me the council would help and instead the council have broken the law.   In fact 3 staff members laughing at me saying to each other look a man in drag when I changed my paperwork to my new name.

Josie is afaid that I'll be killed soon as we have also had attacks on the house.

I'd walk into the council office with a audio or video recording device and try to catch them at it. They are behaving completely illegally. Get cameras on the outside of your house so you can have video evidence in case anything gets to court.

hi Christine here,   we have asked to put up cctv but been told the cameras can't be pointed towards the street,  it can only face down at the flooring in front of the door. 

I may give this recording idea an attempt, first I need to make a new appointment if they will give us one.

The other option, if you don't mind the coverage, would be to invite the local press to your next council visit, but beware something like that could go national.

OMG. This brings me to tears. Please find a way to move. There has to be a way.

I advise you to contact your local police force & ask to speak to their lgbt team, you are a victim of a hate crime & the police have a responsibility to help.

Also contact SARI (stand against racism & inequality) I only have a local number but they will still advise you & try to put you in touch with your local SARI office who will then appoint a case worker to help you both, the number I have is 0800 171 2272

I also urge you to contact your local politician & ask them to put pressure on both the police & council

Your local council should have an LGBT representative, do an internet search for LGBT(insert town here)

I'm working closely with my councils LGBT worker & these are all steps she would strongly recommend, she would also urge you to report EVERY incident. If you don't want to give a statement then use the 101 phone line & they will log the incident (including verbal abuse) & then they'll know to increase patrols in your area

Honesty its not a bad idea, recently after me and Josie got so much harassment then I heard the song "Same Love", I decided to take a stand and fight for LGBT. Even my friendly neighbor(lesbian) Rachel is so proud of me and so we invited her to the wedding along with her mother.

Its becoming out outrageous how the NHS and other services have discriminated me, I got so sick of it the other day so I called Slater and Gordon Solicitors to sue the NHS. Guess what happened the Solicitor said I have a case and then 3 hours later The gender clinic calls me too tell me I have an appointment . The clinic panicked because I took a stand for myself so at at least I'm to receive treatment in may.

So its not a bad idea to bring the press along to see the council panic when they have to watch what they say, if they don't its embarrassment for them.

One step a head of you, I have personally spoke to the head of the LGBT group in my area,she was upset that for me as the services available was out of our reach.

The police know about each and every crime, we have a an account thing of some sort of which we have a special reference number we state to police before conversion. Its so serous the police have gave me and Josie rape alarms. They recommend me to the council or moving but the council as I've said discriminated me.
At the start of our appointment the council said to us that they have not had an chance to speak to the police yet, but half way through she changed story and said she spoke to the officer that recommend to the LGBT manger and said they that they said no such thing. They pretty much forced us out the office.

Josie is asking for advice on how do we cope with the fear of being attacked, in town we are fine but on the way into town is were the issues begin, the neibours watch our house for when we leave x

The nebough has made threats now to hit me at my front door while recording me,  the police have gave him a warning but expected more. How planing on using the video as false evidence against me to the landlord, so now I've got to try and warn her before he can.

It sounds like your neighbour was trying to provoke you in to responding to his threats on film, he may have planned on editing out the first part where he threatened you in an attempt to make you seem like the aggressor. Don't take the bait if he tries it again.
I hope my local sari group can put you in touch with someone local to your area, they'll at least be able to give advice.

Is there any way you could get a police escort when you leave the house?  I know it's not the ideal way to live, but it might be helpful while you're getting things sorted out?

So far sense his second warning he has not caused us any more hassle, but I doubt the police would care enough to do that as they pretty much don't want to take action on whats already been said. x
