So ive finally waited for the right moment to tell my parents that im transgender. Once i tell them , what should be my next step taken ? Im really scared that my diet will soon fail and puberty will hit me . Do i tell my pediatrician that im trans ? What will she do ? My testosterone levels are probably really low will i need t blockers or just estrogen therapy?

Talk to your parents first and if they don't do anything, talk to your pediatrician. As for how to come out, go to the Wiki page and look in the bottom left side. There is a section for parents and friends where you will be able to read about others coming out. The first step should be to have you evaluated by a gender therapist. Once they decide you require treatment, you will be sent to and Endocrinologist where you will be placed on blockers until you are ready for the next step in treatment.

It's very possible your health insurance will cover this and if not, your work as an actor may have generated a fair amount of savings that can be used for treatment. Exact costs are hard to know because the price of the medication will  vary depending on what you need. Don't expect to receive estrogen until you are near or at your 18th birthday. From what I understand, not everybody's gender identity remains stable in the teen years and you are not old enough to give legal consent. Stopping the damage that T causes should be enough for now and the feminization can take place latter.

Please keep positing on this thread where I can keep track of you. It was just luck I saw this post tonight as I was considering heading for bed.

Generally at that age they would use puberty blockers. The next step depends on you, but in your case that would probably be talked your doctor and maybe get at therapist when the time comes. I wouldn't think your diet will fail. It's harder to lose weight when on E anyway. Hugs

Thanks for the replies. I really hope i dont need much as ive seem to had pretty good estrogen receptors through out my childhood as i had many female physiques. I started playing around with makeup a little and i was shoked by how much of a female i looked. I went on by using the omegle page and everyone thought they were talking to a biological woman. ;D I started adding zero animal meat and 5 servings of soy a day and a cup of red clover and licorice root tea a day and so far i feel great and not eating the t promotiong foods. Im still hoping that if i get a chromosome test id know im intersex.  Wish my luck !  :)
