Hi all! I was recommended to Loren Schechter in Chicago for GRS (male to female) and I was wondering if anybody had used him or had anything to say about him. Recommend him, don't recommend him, etc? Also, if you have gone through him for GRS, would you mind sharing how much it was? And I guess anybody who has had surgery, would you care to recommend a surgeon? Any thoughts, experiences, or anything are welcome 🙂

Individual recommendations from people only really carry weight if there has been a problem post op. Any surgeon that performs the operation you seek is going to be fine, provided everything goes to plan. Talk to people that have experienced problems. It's how a surgeon treats you AFTER they've got your money and performed the work that really matters. Will they charge you more to fix things? What's their policy on revision? What if you develop a fistula? How will they fix you if your bowel/bladder is punctured and you're leaking poo/pee from your vagina? Will you have to return to where the surgeon works? How will you get there? Who covers the costs? Everyone thinks a complication won't happen to them, untill of course, it does.
