Hi Ladies,

I started on E on Thursday. I felt very little for the first couple of days but as I sat in Starbucks with my coffee yesterday I started feeling mildly euphoric. This feeling has not gone away and in fact increased later on yesterday afternoon. I'm really surprised by this. I'd been expecting this feeling of calm which I'm noticed other girls mentioned but it almost feels like I'm back in a nightclub in Ibiza on the happy pills. It's really strange.

I'm only taking Finasteride for now as an anti androgen which I know is very weak and I'm expecting something much more effective shortly.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this? What does it mean?

E improves mood, increases serotonin. Could also be psychological, nothing to do with E, just being happy that you're finally on your way. Whatever the case, ENJOY!  ;D
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

A mood change this early in the process probably isn't hormonally induced.  HRT is a very gradual process that works over weeks and months and years.

Most trans people go through long years of stress and uncertainty and guilt and anxiety trying to figure out their gender issues.  When you finally pretty much figure it out and start taking action, it's normal to feel a sense of relief and/or exhilaration.  Lots of people just starting transition with HRT report feelings of excitement and anticipation.  Like KayXo said, "you're finally on your way."
