Alycya

Hi,

today has been a Great Day for me, my psychiatrist fully accepted me as woman, now he refers to me in female mode with my female name.

He congratulated me for having the courage to come out with him and he said i'm not the first person he helped in transitioning.

So, now, that is very important for me, since my gender therapist is a bit too rough for me... and now i can rely also on a more sensitive person. Moreover, he knows also my mate so he could eventually help us if\when needed.

Well - I cried in relief... another step is done.

Thanks again to Susan's - the forum, the chat everything is contributing to ... move ahead with more trust.

A Great Hug :)

I am so happy for you! Validation from a medical professional is so vital. I don't know why it makes such a difference but it does. You go girl.

Aly, that is fantastic Congrats. It feels so good when our doctors and therapists except us for who we are and finally respect us by using the proper name and pronouns. Hugs

Congratulations! My therapist accepted me from the start but only recently started using my female name. The first time I heard her say it, I wasn't sure but sure enough, she said it again. Made my day.

Great Annis :)

Yes, it may seem a very little thing but ... indeed is not. It made my day too. :)

Thanks Clara, Mariah --- Hugs
