That's the first person I'll come out to. She seems to somewhat support the LGBT community, though I don't know exactly what she thinks about transgender people. I just sent her the message an hour ago.

Edit: OMG I literally cried when she told me it was okay and she still wanted to be my friend! I know this is not typical, most people would not accept this, but sometimes you just have to take a chance.
Am I male? Am I female? I'm just me.

Congratz! Coming out is possibly the hardest part of transition, especially the first few times. Glad to hear that she accepted you and is ok with everything.

Congratulations  :)

Often people we are really close with can accept more easily  :)

We met through my ex, and just got close. She's like my big sis. I don't have many friends, and I have no doubt most of them won't accept my coming out. Its good to know I have at least one who accepts me, even if I'm not the guy she knew.

Congratulations!  I'd like to think having someone on your side early on will make you more confident when coming out to others.
