I want to do a good video after I'm fully recovered with good before and after video material but I know some of you had concerns regarding his forehead work, and as I've just undergone it and met his other patients, I'd like to report back.

I've started a topic some time ago discussing a problem I've had with Dr Bart which revolved around him suggesting me to do type I, whereas I really fancied type III forehead reconstruction mostly out of aesthetic, BEAUTY reasons. If I'm under anesthesia and I'm paying for it, he might as well shave more as I personally choose to prefer eyes wide-open, not deep-set, I don't want to have much bone contour around my eye area.

When I first met him last year he said he wouldn't do my forehead, then he agreed to do it on consultation later that year, but sent me a proposal type I, but I do like an aggressive forehead work. I've sent him an e-mail explaining my wish with pictures of before and after, explaining precisely what I want which is shaving the bone to the maximum together with widening of my upper face with forehead lift or so called eyebrow lift, but my e-mail was ignored by saying I can discuss it one day before the surgery. I wasn't happy with it cause imagine if you have a disagreement, you would have to sabotage the surgery literally one day before, lose your deposit, money etc... That was quite a deciding factor but I wasn't able to discuss it with him.

Well I am VERY happy to report Dr Bart does in fact listen and perform! He is very easy going and if you desire very aggressive forehead work, he will shave it off. I will post my swollen face pics, but from what I've touched and seen, the bridge of my nose where it joins my forehead is so much shorter, the orbital rims are gone, frontal sinus is completely gone. I'm swollen but I can see the difference already.

The pre-op consultation can be very long, up to an hour, you can discuss everything in peace, and he virtually has no objections to anything, as long as whatever you wish for can be performed, is safe, and within reason of course. My main concern, as mentioned, referred to reduction of bones around my eyes to the maximum. Eyes are the focal point of everyone's face and I want people to see my eyes, not my brow ridging covering it! :p

Pre-op consultation made me super happy, but before I even had the consultation I met very lovely ladies from Germany, where I could see, touch, feel and observe their forehead work, and it was astounding. So flat, smooth, symmetrical, youthful.

I spoke with Facial Team before but they charged me for my forehead alone what Dr Bart charged me for complete forehead reconstruction with eyebrow lift, rhinoplasty and chin sculpting with bone grafting. Also, one crucial difference that made me very, very, very pleased with Dr Bart and that is more about the beauty of the face, and youthfulness of it, and that he agreed to enhance in my case, is, I don't know if you have noticed but before and after on Bart's website when we are mentioning the upper face is always widened with the surgery, I think this is an extremely smart, beautiful and again youthful trick that he does, that FacialTeam does not do, I had a consultation with them and when they sew your scalp back, they use a machine so there's no way for them to manipulate whereas Bart pulls the sides of the face and in an extremely natural, imperceivable way he makes it look more awake, and just young and pretty. Think of all make-up tricks that refer to the beautification of one's eye, it's always about setting your eyes as wide as possible. The god of FFS Dr Osterhout does the same thing, but I have to say, some of Osterhout's forehead and flat to no end, as I said I will do a good video explaining and probably comparing some of surgeons' work.

Pulling your eyecorners may sound a bit over-the-top and not for everyone but as I mentioned, Bart's flexibility goes in both directions, he can be very soft, minimal with his work at your wish, and he can be very aggressive and do as you please.

Regarding his extreme-shaving method, he told me it's not type III per se in terms of what Dr Osterhout invented, it's a mix of I and III, he said he doesn't really take the bone away and reattache it, he drills one hole instead of two (did I understand him correctly?) he pushes the mucose in and takes the bone powder and puts it on top of the mucose? I don't really perfectly remember what he said, I will try and ask him, but he makes the noses shorter in terms of bridge-height and then the forehead follows very smoothly aligned with the nose, which I think is brilliant.

Congratulations, it sounds really good. I can't wait to see the before and after pictures.

When you referred to the upper face did you mean that he brings the entire hairline closer together not just the top ?
