For life if you can't find a sexual partner

Forever, but the frequency declines sharply after the first year. By now, at 3+ years post-op, I dilate every other week for 15 minutes (sometimes every third week or once a month if I get forgetful - oops). The surgeon's instructions say 15 minutes weekly for life, but I haven't noticed any consequences to skipping weeks.

And for the first year when you need to do it on a daily basis, how is it going at your workplace ?

Well, the first year isn't as bad as it sounds... it all depends on the surgeon's recommendations, but by three months I only had to dilate twice a day (morning before work, night before bed) and then down to once a day at six months (I usually did it at bedtime). So the only really difficult time was the one week of four times a day after I went back to work (I drove home at lunch!) and the fairly inconvenient month #2 at three times a day (morning, after work, before bed).

It was a hassle, to be sure. But at least it was only for ~5 weeks? :)

I'm about one and a half years post op and I still have to dilate every other day because of lovely granulation tissue that never healed!

Do you eat healthy, with enough fruit and vitamins ? This might affect healing ...

Well this is how my schedule went from the beginning to now.

1-3 months 3x daily
4-6 months 2x daily
6 months 1x daily
7 months 1x every 2 days
8 months every 3 days
9 months every 4 days
10 months every week
1 year every 10 days
14 months every 2 weeks
16 months (Now) every 3 weeks.

At once every 3 weeks now and I've never had any problems (3-5 minutes to get max depth with a 42mm) if anything I could easily go longer I guess it varies.
