"Kentucky's Republican-controlled Senate today approved a "license to discriminate" bill that would allow individuals and businesses to deny service to LGBT people without being penalized under local antidiscrimination ordinances.

Senate Bill 180 passed by a vote of 22-16, reports The New Civil Rights Movement. The bill's lead sponsor, Republican Sen. Albert Robinson, contends the proposal is not discriminatory but rather necessary to protect people of faith from LGBT people who "are trying to force their beliefs down the throats" of those who act upon their religious convictions, the site reports. "

good question, I don't know  , but I guess if the law acknowledges  the fact that your legally a woman they could still argue their faith says your not.

No matter the fate of this bill, it's a slippery slope. Were people given total freedom to discriminate, it could perhaps lead to the reversal of a century of civil rights battles between three different groups. But if people are mandated to violate what they believe in, it could lead to government effectively mandating the beliefs of the individual, an idea directly contrary to the First Amendment. There is no easy fix here, and its a battle that will likely carry on for a long while.

Actually, I think there is an easy fix.

If you run a business you do not discrimination. Not on race, not on religion, and not on gender history or presentation.

If it violates your religion to service people in an non-discriminatory manner, don't get a job or start a business where you're required to support people you disapprove of. No one is forcing you to.
