Hey all,

First time posting here and hope I have the right section after not finding anything after searching the forum. I'm a feminine male and am scheduled for an adams apple shave April 20th by Dr Haben in Rochester NY. Due to regulations I was unable to see before/afters on others, however he told me to come here if I was curious enough. In a situation like this I'm sure the end result will be fine, though if anyone has had an adams apple shave with him it'd be awesome to see your before and after results.

As for my side questions this one may make a few ask a couple extra questions, however assuming one gets everything related to SRS does it complicate things to receive a reroute and/or castration from other people beforehand? This question is more on the hypothetical side than anything.

If you plan to have an SRS later talk to the surgeon.
There are methods where scar tissue is minimized.
Some SRS surgeons even help instruct a surgeon.
And some SRS surgeons count a payment of an orchi with them towards a SRS.

Thank you for those links, the first one helped a ton and it was surprising to know some surgeons discount with other operations done ahead of time. I'll bring this up with the one I'm seeing in June in case I can get the two "simpler" ones ahead of time instead of waiting the 2.5-3 years for everything at once (assuming everything goes smooth).

And yes, I meant Haben. When I got my call from the office caller ID showed "DR HADEN" with the receptionist asking if I'm still coming in the next day to see what sounded like Haden, not Haben. Guess that's why it made more sense for him to be Haben when I thought back.

When I went to Dr. McGinn I originally thought to get and orchi because I was trying to remain married. She said if I had it with her the incisions would be the same place as GCS. She also said it I had the procedure with another surgeon she would inform them where to place the incisions.

Several people here have had that surgery as a part of voice surgery. You will find their post surgical picture in the voice section of the site. I only had the VFS and my Adams Apple was done by another surgeon a long time ago so it doesn't count but the scars are not very noticeable and if you are worried about it, it can easily be covered with makeup.
