I browsed these forums for a bit before I got my top surgery done. Lots of helpful information here. On a whim I decided to make an account, and I'm glad that I did. I kind of wish that I had made an account sooner.

My name is Eri. I'm 24, and nonbinary. I am out to my friends, but not to family. Some friends respect my pronouns but some still refer to me as she. I'm too shy to speak up about how unhappy it makes me, though. Maybe one day. My top surgery was on March 3rd with Dr. Garramone. I'm about two and a half weeks post op now, and it still feels unreal. I never thought I'd be able to get top surgery, and yet, here I am! Ha...

(My parents don't know about the surgery either...)

I look forward to being here!

Hi Eri and welcome to Susan's. Congrats on being post op on your top surgery. I know it certainly can be a mixed reaction from some. I'm glad some of your friends are being respectful towards your gender. We and FTM and nonbinary areas you might want to check out. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Thank you for the helpful links; I was wondering why I wasn't able to edit my profile. Good to know. :)

Oooo, congratulations on the top surgery! Where's that jealousy emoticon...

I had half-top surgery (mastectomy) and would love to get the other one off.

Have fun here! It's a great community.
