Your bigger problem will be finding nice shoes that fit. It won't be impossible but there is a lot of women's foot ware that stops at size 10 (as a size 11 I speak from experience). Most women's shoes tend to make the feet look smaller and, as Laura says, it is hardly the first thing the larger part of the population notice about women.

A useful site to check out is Long Tall Sally. They make clothing for tall women like 5'9" and up half there clients are woman around 6 feet. They also sell shoes in larger sizes I think the last catalog they sent me had sizes up to 14 or 15.

I bought a winter coat from them after months of struggling to find a coat with sleeves long enough to fit me, aside from being a bit tight in the shoulders I couldn't be happier with it.

Great question Blossom. As a girl that is relegated to wearing size 15W, I have subscribed to the theory that less is more. Allow me to explain: To create the illusion that you actually don't wear size 13, try shoes that have less material, by that I mean, wear shoes that show more foot skin. If you have a pair of strappy sandals that show a lot of skin, the shoe is not as pronounced. On the other hand, if you wear some of the latest ankle-high cute booties, then all you see is the shoe, especially if it's a dark color. There are a lot of pumps available that have low sides and a shallow foot box (the front where the toes reside) that show a lot of foot skin. And that's good. Your foot will also look smaller (in length) the higher the heel you wear. The measurement of my foot flat on the floor is 11 7/8" and 11" when the heel is elevated 4", but the overall length obviously doesn't change. Hope this helps!

A related worry is that people with big feet tend to be tall, and heels will add to one's height. However, as the saleslady at my local big people's shoe store (yes, I'm that lucky) pointed out, at this height (188 cm and 45, in US sizes 6'2" and W12/13) a few centimetres will not make a difference any more. And she was right: I get the occasional 'Look at that tall chick' from packs of drunk boys, nothing worse.

I was size 13W men's (perhaps a little bit of extra room) and am now size 13 woman's shoe ( a little extra room) and have been on HRT for 2.75 years. I have lost a fair bit of muscle bulk.

I was on hrt 5-1/2 years and lost no muscle bulk in my feet. I still wear the same shoe size.

I wear a size 13 mens/15 womens shoe, and I am nearly 6'3.  I am not sure about feet alone, but being tall and having big feet and hands surely makes it more difficult.  I ask myself questions all the time about how much I would stick out as transgender woman.

For now, I have made it a goal to try to reduce my weight (and muscle mass) from about 210 to 170-180 lbs.  I was down to about 193 or so before hormones, but it has crept back up.  I have been on hormones for 1 1/2 years (1 year full dose), but that alone has not reduced my muscle mass sufficiently.  In my denial period, I did a lot of weight training to try to "man up," and now it's been hard to shed easily.

I figure if I eat less protein (and calories) and do a lot of endurance training/cardio, perhaps I can lose more of the muscle I am carrying and perhaps attain a more feminine appearance.  If I get down to that weight and still feel like I'd stick out like a sore thumb, I am not sure what I will do. 

Maybe the singularity (look up Ray Kurzweil) will occur and some sort of radical nano-technology surgery will be available to reduce my frame on the molecular level or do a brain transplant into a hybrid organic/android body that has all the sensations of our human bodies!  One can only hope!

Keri, I'd stick with hrt because it did reduce my muscle mass.

Some folks may notice feet, but it is doubtful they will assume trans*. There are ciswomen with large feet, especially if they are over 6 feet tall. In my experience, straight Men are largely oblivious to such things. I ran 11-13 (for some reason Men's business shoes seem to run larger than sneakers) pre-transition and other than the shortage of cute shoes in my size, they have not caused me any other issues. The only comments I get are the occasional "I love your shoes!"

BTW, Payless goes up to 13 in Women's, though not every shoe is available in larger sizes (sizes 7-8 seem to have the best selection unfortunately). My feet also seem to have shrunken slightly on HRT. I typically run 11-12 now in Women's, down from 12-13.

What I've noticed is that the only people that notice my shoes are women and they're not looking at the size. Men don't seem to see anything from the waist down.

I too am guilty of being over 6 feet tall and wear a size 13 (mens).  I had this question go through my head a few weeks ago and did a brief search for actresses 6 feet tall and over.  Then broadened the search to include non-actresses.  I felt at ease after reading names (a few are listed below).  None-the-less, if they can "pull it off" with makeup, you\we can also.

Geena Davis, Gwendoline Christie, Brooke Shields, Aisha Tyler, Brigitte Neilsen, Famke Janssen, Jane Lynch, Jordin Sparks, Kristen Johnson, Tilda Swinton.

I guess the point is to focus and accentuate other areas to even out the view or draw a viewers eyes from the obvious.  Now I just have to plan and work on making that a possibility for myself also.
