So I decided I want it how much I need and I do not know how successful it is to try and crowd find your op. Well there are websites on ideas for srs funding ...
just look out a bit if it looks too shady for you ...

there are a few unconventional ideas, like bartering for services ...
for example offering cleaning services in exchange for hair removal ...
well and you might do some research ...
for example some people had good results with silk flash n go ...
they are available even used and cartridges are exchangeable, there are also some long lasting ones ...


Do you feel that something like PAI could be in your reach eventally ?

We don't allow appeals for or links to operation fund raising.

I can't speak to anyone's success at this. I would think it is a long struggle that rarely pays off. The main reason being that most fund raisers are geared towards securing funds to produce something or create something that the contributor can also gain from. I would think the majority of medically based fund raising appeals are not successful, the money probably comes mostly from friends and family, rarely from casual acquaintances or strangers. Still, you might get a bit and that's better than nothing.

Somewhere I read about an FTM who tried crowdfunding his breast removal surgery, and who had some measure of success.  I think he raised somewhere between 20 and 30% of the money he needed.

That said, I have found that it is a lot easier to raise money if people perceive you as a worker rather than just as someone asking for money.

People tend to be far more successful with crowdfunding when they sell art or services and accompany the sales pitch with an appeal about how it is for an intimate personal cause.

There are people who got it covered for health reasons, if they have bigger ones.
Its supposed to be relieving for the back.

Crowd sourcing works if you can find a sympathetic audience and advertise it well. Like on twitter and FaceBook. But.... your audience needs to feel compelled to help you. Typically cancer drives work for children. Not so much for other things. It may be easier to go get a part time job. It's a lot more straight forward.

When I check out ftm tumblr a lot use gofundme in order to secure funding for surgery. Although I'm sure a lot comes from friends/acquantinces and family rather than strangers.
