Well, I normally try to obfuscate who I work for these days.  Because I've been keeping my Transe statues on the down low.  And I HAVE to emphasize that I in no way represent my employer.  No statements I make represent the company in any way.  I'm here purely as a private individual.  And none of this may be quoted or reproduced or misconstrued as to make it seem I'm making claims or statements on the companies behalf.  But well I really want to share this one.  And it's already publicly available information.

I now work for Space X and I've been working on the Dragon Space Craft's.  The first one I worked on is about to launch.  As I'm writing this theres 5 days 18 hour and 15 minutes to lauch (According to SpaceXstats.com A publiclly avalible information source)  And is listed as launching on April 8th at 8:43PM UTC (Agian acording to SpaceXstats.com)    I'm so nervious right now I'm thinking of asking for the befoer and the day of, off.  Because I think I'm gonna be a nervous wreck.

If any of you are interested in watching the launch, there will probably be a live stream on SpaceX.com, On the day of the launch.  If not, well, Wish us luck?

Wow, that's really cool, I mean you working for SpaceX. I can imagine how nerve-racking this can be, I'm a wreck at every internal (software) product launch we do at our company and there aren't any rockets involved in our case :)

I hope everything will go well for you and SpaceX, hopefully the first stage can land safely too. I hope I'll have time to follow the launch.

This is really cool! I have a friend who follows Elon Musk pretty religiously and would definitely want to know about that launch. She is really a big science nut in general. She probably already knows about it of course. I hope you really enjoy your big day!

Will set alarm for early morning (Sydney time) and try and wake up.  Went to Nasa's space camp as a kid and I love this stuff.

Good Luck, I'm confident it will all go well. What could go wrong?? ;D

Seriously tho, I think it will work and it will transform LEO, MEO and GEO in the relative short term and space travel in the long term. Hope that happens in our lifetime.
Good luck again, I'll be watching

Lynne

I couldn't follow the launch live but I just saw that the first stage landed without a problem, congratulations!

Holy ->-bleeped-<- it was epic. I just got back from the launch party. We may or may not have been drinking for free. I was so worried the whole way up but she's up there and she's healthy and it's ->-bleeped-<-ing amazing oh my God thank you guys for the support I was so nervous. That's about 6 months of my life hanging up there in orbit. So you can imagine how worried I was that something was going to go terribly terribly wrong!
