London is more convenient for me. And Rebecca Root is very cool! She was on Boy meets Girl wasn't she?! How did the consultation go?
According to wikipedia, yes she was/is (I don't watch TV). She also appeared in the film "The Danish girl".
The consultation was fine. When the appointment is made, she sends you some questions that you should prepare and when the day comes, all of them are reviewed and she takes notes. Some of them get a bit personal but you don't have to answer them all, they are only important for you to get a personalised treatment. Initially she didn't do this but over time she realised that a lot of time, up to 3 sessions in some cases (!), was lost in figuring out people's personal situations, for example whether they live alone and can easily practice or not.
In my case, after stating that I was most interested in resonance/intonation (because I plan to raise pitch via surgery) she said I have some potential and that in 4-5 sessions I should be ready. Some people are lucky enough to be ready right away, and she just tells them so. Discount prices are available if you book several sessions in advance and for special sectors of population (eg. elder people).
