So here I am, I'm about a week away from moving to the city so I can FINALLY start to transition, something I've been waiting to do for six years. I had a few job interviews and was offered two jobs in very transition-friendly environments. Things are looking up, things are moving forward, leaving me anxious and scared. Not scared enough to not pursue transitioning, but dammit, it's an intimidating thing to stare in the face.

Stagnancy, on the other hand, the complete inability to transition, is relatively more comfortable because you don't have to act on anything. It's a peaceful resignation to accept that you can't transition until... But I believe that change happens just outside your comfort zone. If it's worth doing, it's worth the uncomfortability of change. Let me repeat that for those in the back - CHANGE HAPPENS JUST OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE. So to anybody like me who gets anxiety over the idea of going out in public in white skinny jeans, a female-cut shirt, a bra and makeup even though they want nothing more than to do just that: JUST DO IT. Confidence is beautiful, and people have gotten away with much worse than dressing comfortably just by being confident.

Best wishes, everyone! Be your best you. After all, it's your life's, isn't it?
