Has anyone here had experience with Orchiectomy? I'm pretty sure I want to get it. Any tips for finding a surgeon?   Xoxo tori

If you go to the top of the page and click on Forums and then enter in the site search on the right Orchiectomy, you will get about 30 hits on the site discussing the subject. Finding a surgeon depends on where you live and how you will pay for it. In a socialized medicine country your options are pretty limited. In other countries with insurance you have a few more options and paying out of pocket you can have most anything you want if you are willing to travel.

I first spoke to my GP about it and he referred me to a urologist surgeon that a couple of his clients went to for other things.
After speaking to the surgeon he told me I need a psych referral letter so I made a appointment with my psych and talked about why I wanted the orchi and the pros & cons and she gave me a referral letter,
I also spoke to my endo about it as well, he went thought the pros & cons of the surgery and why I wanted it and he gave me a letter saying he doesnt have a problem with me having to done and them gave me a letter stating how long Ive been on hrt and other info,
I then made another referral for the urologist surgeon with the two letters in hand and he them put booked me in for the surgery .

Cheers Tracy
