I don't know if anyone else is concerned about this. but I am frightened of the possibility of getting this if I have surgery especially in another country or just in general! Does anyone know how common this is with FFS procedures?

you mean MRSA?

No idea what the incidence is for FFS, but regardless of any hospitalization, you're pretty much exposing yourself to all kinds of potential nosocomial infections and MRSA is pretty scary, but rest assured there are still antibiotics that work against it.
