Can you any Latin words? If you can any, please comment it in this thread.

I can these words. But it's hard to translate it to English, since it's not my first language. It makes more sense to translate it to my first language Norwegian. I'm studying a bit latin as a extra hobby. My main hobby is drawing. I'm also interested in history, religion, politic etc. I do wright at Wikipedia as well.

I can these words.
Cis - At the same side
Trans - At the other side
Audio - I am listening (to) ,(Sound)
Video - I am watching
Univers - General
Rex - King
Homo - Human, man
Homo sapien - Mordern human
Lego - Put together, collect
Ludo - I am playing
Pre - Before
Post - After
Sexus - Sex
Et cetra (Etc) - The other "things", also further
Visa Versa - The other way around, opposite
Per - Every unit (Example: I want 2$ per chocolate)
Punctum - Dot
Turbo - Disturb, put something in unbalance
Nota bene - note it, "Pay attention to this message"
Via - Road
Versus (VS) - Against each other
Postscriptum (PS) - A little note after a message. Example: "We're going to swim tomorrow. PS! Try to remember your own swimming suit"
Volvo - Roll
Anno - Year
Anno Domino - Lord's year, After Christ's birth
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Barba - Beard

If you're curious at my age, I'm turning 16 in summer.

OK, it's dog Latin, but everyone should know it:

Never bring an umbrella to a coyote fight.

So you're actually writing at "Pig latin"? :)

Oh man, so much Latin and Greek derivative words and descriptions when I was a student of biology.

I'm interested in Latin, I have a few of the dictionaries on my shelf but lack the time to study it properly. I figure one of the reasons Latin is so offputting to learn is the numerous conditional changes and tenses to every single word that have to be learned. It takes a lot longer to learn as a second language than many others... plus hardly anyone speaks it. One day maybe. After I finish grappling with the other language I'm learning.

Apparently a Finnish broadcaster named Yle does a weekly news broadcast in Latin. While this forum forbids posting hyperlinks, if you google "Nuntii Latini" the page should be visible in the top hits.

One of my English teachers showed us to what extent the language is derived from Latin.

cise=cut (incise, decide, excise, scissors, precise)
tele=far (telephone, television, telegraph, telescope)
... and so on.

I found his demonstration very interesting and also useful. In many ways the Latin roots in English/French/Spanish etc. function like radicals do in Chinese ideograms.
