This forum is great but it saddens me that it exists!

This forum is fantastic. There is so much information and an amazing amount of support being offered by so many people wishing to help each other. For many it is a life saver.

Reading posts from other people I find that each person's story is unique but also very similar in the struggle to be accepted simply for existing. It saddens me greatly that we live in a world where websites such as this one need to even exist in the first place. We are all people and everyone should have the basic right to just live, without having to justify their existence and fight to be accepted as equals for not doing anything other than simply being born. Is it really too much to ask to live and let live? The world would be a very dull place if everybody was the same.

Anyway, I've said my 2 cents worth. Thank you to everyone who makes this website possible. It is a wonderful and greatly needed resource.

Jayne,
I agree that this is a great place. I also am very grateful for the wonderful people who make it work. I admit to getting down a bit when I heard about the bathroom bills and the trans backlash by the fools in the world. After a bit, I started to think it was a good thing. Look at all the people starting to speak up in support of transgender people now. Maybe it is the start of a dialogue that wakes people up. To your point though, it really does stink to see post after post of people who deal with things (prejudice, hatred) that no one deserves.       With my 2 cents, we now have 4!

Even if trans were 100% accepted over the world, people would still want support and I am glad this site is here :D
