Hi everyone!!!

I'm Sophie and I'm a 21 y.o. trans woman just trying to figure it all and 
I probably realised I was trans when I was like 10 but I spent HEAPS of time trying to repress it and just generally being not-so-smart with my life choices, but I've kinda got sick of feeling awful all the time and making dumb decisions so I've been trying to turn stuff around - been going to counselling, taking antidepressants and had a big conversation/emotional breakdown with my parents about my gender identity and now I'm working towards getting on hormones and going full-time (although slower than I'd like cos I am perma-broke lol)... and the town I'm in is very small and conservative and boring (there was a big earthquake a while ago and most of the town is still rubble) so I thought I'd try meet more people on the interwebz just cos there ain't a whole heap of trans people I know irl and it gets kinda lonely sometimes 

I like to read novels and non-fiction and play guitar and try make bad-sounding EDM and watch heaps of TV (too much, probably!) and blog (on Tumblr, hmu if u want my url!)... I also LOVE dancing and spend a lot of time at bars and parties and festivals (altho less so with festivals now cos they are filled with hippies  ) and just generally chilling out and enjoying life... also I have a mad sweet tooth and really love baking (and getting baked  ) and eating sugary things. Also I'm one of those ppl who has to avoid watching tv news 'cos it just makes me sad and upset at the amount of senseless war and violence and corruption in the world  #occupy
I was at university for a while but now I wash dishes and make coffee for a living, although I'm hoping to get out of the service industry atm and maybe go back to uni in a couple of years... idk tho but anyway that's pretty much me!!

Hi Sophie,  Glad you found this site.  Jump in and get to know the people who post here.  There are lots of ladies your age so you shouldn't have problems meeting people and making friends. Someone is always around for you to talk with.  Look around and you'll discover the wealth of information that will help you on your journey.  Don't be a stranger.
