The Scottish National Party's spokesperson for Women, Children and Equalities, Angela Crawley MP, writes for PinkNews about how her country can raise the bar on trans rights.

I'm very proud that in the last week the SNP became the first governing party in the UK to make a clear and firm manifesto commitment to review and reform gender recognition law, bringing it into line with international best practice, so that all transgender and non-binary people in Scotland can get full legal recognition of their gender identity.

Sounds good particularly the teaching in schools part that would be a significant step forward.

Not sure how much I like American political parties.  Hmmmm . . . Maybe I'll re-register in Scottish National Party.

This is why we're becoming a one-party country lol
I hardly hear anything from the other parties - if they have better policies on LGBT and gender equality they need to put them out there

Scotland or Ireland are looking more attractive. In fact Innisturk has a campaign going saying if you don't like the political results in the states here, they're open for immigration. Additional plus for Innisturk - my understanding is that's where the castle Luke was found in the last Stars Wars was located.
