Surgeons have their own technique and approach. Most prefer to remove most of corpora cavernosa, or as much as possible, in order to avoid possible erectile tissue related complications, which might later require additional erectile tissue removal (which is a bit riskier to do than during initial surgery). Dr. Suporn however likes to preserve some of erectile tissue, as biological women also have erectile tissue. He removes erectile tissue from area where shaft of penis starts to glans of the penis... so basically he removes all erectile tissue (apart from glans) that was on the outside, and preserves all erectile tissue that was on the inside.
