Hi all!

Ive been lurking around on these forums for a while and I've decided to join in the hopes of making some friends! :)

So a little about myself, I'm a MtF in her mid twenties pursuing a graduate degree in animation. I'm a complete fangirl of all things Disney, Pixar, and Blizzard.

In terms of my transition I haven't started yet (Hopefully soon!), but I recently started coming out to my friends and the response I got from them has been wonderful. So far not a single person has been anything but supportive and understanding, its been the best feeling in the world.

If only that were the end of it. My family is on the opposite spectrum. I have come out to my father, because I was pretty sure he would be at least understanding (He is a Psychologist), and for the most part he was, but he is in this strange sort of accepting denial limbo for now. My brother and mother... not so understanding. I haven't come out to them for fear of rejection and possibly really harming my family's connection, My mother is a hardcore christian conservative and my brother is homophobic. If there is any sort of gay character or anyone outside of the "norm" on TV I'll usually hear them later bad mouthing them and talking about how gross they are. There may be hope for them yet though, If any of you watch the amazing race, you'll know that Tyler Oakley is one of the competitors, he also happens to be gay. I'm not sure how, but Tyler and his partner have become my mothers favorite team, so by the end of the race at the very least my mother may be a little bit more accepting of someone in her own life being outside of her accepted "norm". Maybe.

Anyways! I think that's enough rambling in my introduction post. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to meeting y'all! :)

Hi there! I`m so happy, because now I know who to write with fan stuff around Disney, Pixar and especially Blizzard!

I have something similar in my family- they are in denial, since I haven`t started yet, they think I`m just kidding and won`t do it. It`s flustrating. What`s even worse, they are traditional catholics so this really goes beyond what they were taught. But I believe someday, we will find a way to reconciliate. And I wish you the same!
