It's tough to tell, because he lacks consistency. IMO, I think he'd be an absentee president. I would not be surprised if he spent as much or more time on vacation than Bush Jr. And it's hard to accomplish things when you're not present to win allies in Congress to do your bidding. I think that's also an area he would struggle with. Cruz is arguably less well liked among his peers, but I don't think anyone on the right is exactly thrilled with the circus that this election has turned out to be, largely due to Trump's involvement. I think he would have a hard time gaining support for any measures he wanted to pass. My only concern would be what kind of appointments he would make to the Supreme Court, as a few of the justices are getting up there in age. I really have no idea who he'd nominate.
I will caveat this conversation with this - who the President is has much, much less bearing on your daily life than who your state and local officials are and what they stand for. While it is important to vote in the primaries and in the general election, make it a point to vote in EVERY election. Vote for local and state candidates who have demonstrated themselves to be allies of our community. These are the people who will help oppose things like bathroom bills, make it easier for folks to change their gender markers, enable people to alter their birth certificates, and so much more. It's a sad fact that these elections get a fraction of the turnout that presidential elections do, when they have the most immediate impact on your personal quality of life.
