Transgendered bathrooms will undoubtedly be supported by pedophiles and perverts everywhere. But, on this issue, feminists should break away from their traditional coalition with the gay rights movement. It is too easy for sexual predators to feign gender identity crisis. And too likely their victims will be real women.

Predators can't feign anything. A sexual predator who goes to a psychologist will be found out in 2 sec.

But, I do agree that I would not want anyone at large to just say I'm a women and walk in.
I think a carry letter from a psychologist or something like that resolves the issue.
Having more unisex bathrooms for those that are not gender normative would also help.

I see more and more people confounding a CD with a TS and thinking that somehow where all the same!! because of the rising T movement and general lack of information. From a practical standpoint, there's a chance that this will come to bite us; confusion in the minds of the general population is never a good thing. It breeds panic and bad laws.

I have never noticed ANYONE spending an overly large amount of time in the bathroom. Of course, here in the northeast maybe that's because we are all always in a rush.

Mike Adams seems to be more worried that there will be some fellow going in the restroom and hanging out in a toilet for sexual play! He's trying to extrapolate his experiences in men's rooms to someplace else entirely!! What silliness!!

He's imagining how long it takes his wife or girlfriend to use the bathroom in comparison to how long it takes him. Of course, he doesn't have to wait for the two or three stalls to open; he doesn't have to wrestle w/ panty hose or something of the sort either; nor do men often re-do make-up or spend much time in the bathroom on hair. I also don't particularly recall that there were conversations going on in men's room either and there were never children in them in such numbers as in women's rooms!!

Another reason why men do not need to comment on what they can only fantasize about. Talk to that wife or girlfriend, Mikey, and see if she's noticing women spending an inordinate amount of time in the women's rooms!!

And it's that deliberate ignoring of what Transgender really is and really is not, and the oppositions' willingness to cherry-pick the 'facts' they use to defend their position that allows them to set up these oh-so-easy-to-knock-over straw man arguments.

Predators.

Feel like.

Transgendered "persons" and ->-bleeped-<-s.

And other words and phrases that carry loaded connotations.

We (the transgendered community) need for there to be enough education out there to reach the progressive (who are already on our side,) and the moderates/independents/undecideds (who can, with the right arguments and information, be persuaded to support our side,) to counteract this kind of poisonous right-wing-nut spew and inoculate our trans-allies (and potential trans-allies) against further spew.

I'm still for the free-speech clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.  I support the wing-nut right's Right to say that they feel we are [insert epithet here], as long as it stays speech ONLY, and is not translated into actions such as (at the very least,) unfavorable discrimination towards me and other TG.

But it's going to take a LOT of education and desensitization...

Exactly!

They are projecting their fantasies and desires onto us, and then scapegoating us because they have those feelings.

I disagree with carrying a letter or any other form of ID just to go to the restroom. As far as unisex restrooms go, if they have the one toilet in place already then it could be made into a unisex restroom, just add a lock. If places of business have multi toilets, then it is impossible without spending money which business or anyplace esle really doesn't have the money or do they want to spend for us.
If a CD walked into a room, could you tell if she/he is a CDor TS?

Sometimes I read the comments on these articles.  I don't know why I do.

In this case, I discovered that:

-  I change my identity at will.
-  I can decide which public facility to use (male or female) depending who I want to look at.
-  I am a sexual deviant.
-  I have no right to use any public bathroom.
-  It's better to have my (long gone) male genitalia beaten off me rather than to have it cut off.
-  I'm a masculine hulk that wears miniskirts and boots.
-  I peer over bathroom walls to see women urinate.
-  I am a left wing radical and have a gay/lesbian agenda.
-  I could have been successfully treated without surgery.

For the record.

-  I dress as most women dress... very casual most all the time.
-  I am asexual.
-  I despise using public restrooms and do so only when I have a dire need.
-  I have no agenda, I just need to go to the bathroom.
-  I can't stand to be in a public restroom. They stink. I do what I have to do and leave quickly.

For the bigots who spew this crap... I wonder... which restroom would they have me use?

Yes. Why do I get the feeling that they would rather none of us have any need to use any toilet whatsoever?

O for the days when we burnt people like us, Cindy.

BTW, I agree on the public toilet. They are literally scary.

Well if we somehow initiate a bathroom check, just wait till a lot of pre-op T girls show up and stand at the urinal next to him.  Maybe that is what it will take to change his attitude.

This is nothing more than perpetuating the old myth that it is all about sex.  If anything, the opposite is true.

To the degree that predators can not fool a psychologist get real, they get out of prison all the time.  The very fact of what makes them predators in the first place kind of helps them in fact.

99.99999% of people who use bathrooms, use it for the intended reason.  I use a co-ed bathroom at work, we've never had a problem.  SF, which has had a basic 'presentation' clause in the bathroom deal had not had a problem in five years either.  Most of that stuff is total B.S.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
