I can't believe it but I am one step closer! Today my endo sent in the referral. All steps have been taken and now I wait! I know it will take some time to get processed but at least I am in the cue! I am so ready! I guess I will have over a year to wait. If you have been through this process recently, maybe you could let me know how it went for you. Thanks to all who have been through the surgery for your posts have helped me keep my focus.

Congrats, at least you are not there last night. Arson caused any surgeries that was scheduled today and tomorrow will be cancelled. Not sure how long they will be down for.

I am shocked! My first thought was 'In Canada?' then I realized that there are crazy people all over. My thoughts go out to those patients and staff who were in the hospital and sure hope that there were no 'injuries'. I sure hope they can get things back in order quickly so that those waiting can get their surgeries done. Secondly, I sure hope they catch the guy! Scary!

So does Brassard not have security there ? Just wondering with his handsome self ....

I have been trying to get more information on what is happening with the clinic. I have been searching the Canadian news every day but there is so little information. I sure hope for all those waiting and for the staff that Dr. Brassard has been able to find temporary surgical space and that repairs go along well.

A general question - How long after referrals have been sent did you hear from the clinic, in normal circumstances?

A few weeks until it is processed and then 5-6 months until a possible date ...

Thanks Laura! The referral has been a long time in coming and I know that I will have to wbe patient with this. It is just so exciting that I wish it was next week!
