The only clinic in Canada that offers sex reassignment surgery has suffered over $700,000 in damage following an arson attempt.

A man "burst into" the Montreal surgical clinic, Centre métropolitain de chirurgie, at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday night and attempted to set fire to the building before fleeing. Police say he was using an "incendiary device" in his arson attempt but wouldn't specify what it was.
