Tall == Automatically getting clocked?

Hello again my lovelies!

So, I just realised that in the outfit I'm wearing today, that I'm 6' 2" (I measured myself because I thought I'd shrunk, but no, 5' 11" + 3" heels == 6' 2" sure enough!)...

So I have a simple, but obvious question:

Is being tall-ish pretty much a guarantee in getting clocked?

Do I have to resign myself to only ever wearing flats for the rest of my days?

If you saw a 6' 2" slim lady walking towards you (with well proportioned hands and feet), and you were a guy, wouldn't you take a second look just to check or are tall ladies common these days?

Just the ramblings of someone who should be doing other stuff...

I'm 5'11" and I've worked with cis women who've been taller than me in flats, but they are a minority, and I suspect even they get more than the usual number of glances that most women get. If you're confident and happy just rock the heels!

Sounds like good advice to me! ;-)

I think I'm perhaps going to consider tailoring my footwear to my overall passability...that is, while I'm still early in to this and perhaps not passing as well I would always like, I'll try and keep my heels small, and as things progress and I pass better in my face and body, I'll rock the heels with confidence...

I guess ultimately it's about not drawing more attention that you're comfortable with at any given time...

I'm over 6 feet tall, and am stealth to a vast majority of the people I work with.

One of the waitresses at the casino I work at is also 6 feet tall.

My best female friend from my childhood is 6'3".

No, it's not an automatic clocking sentence. Yes, a lot more people notice me than I'd like because I stand out, and I get a lot of comments from strangers along the lines of "wow, you're tall," and "did you play basketball/volleyball in school?" but not people misgendering me or asking me if I'm trans.

Many models are tall, they are sought after .

And transgender people tend to have long legs which many people tend to find sexy.

Oh! Well, that's a nice thing to know! ;-)

I already have my answer lined up... "no, but I did used to do the high jump!" (I really did!...was the high school champion, though that wasn't saying much...there were taller competitors, but they weren't very athletic...)

I wouldn't worry about height too much, I'm on the puny side of the ermm.. measuring tape, with 5'6. I see more women that outgrowed me than me being taller, it's crazy. My worst enemy could become my best friend... though I'm like a small bear, muscled to the toes T_T

You're tall and slim, soft features, I think you'd transition well, despite your height.

Well, I hear that toe muscles are really useful for wearing heels that would kill most ladies... ;)

Oh, you're such a sweetie! That's going to keep me smiling for the rest of the day at least...

'ft, I just can't imagine me wearing feminine clothing at this point in time, simply because it'd kill
it for me. My body shape hasnt got anything feminine to it, except wide hips, but my waist is also wide.

I first need to lose weight and muscles or I'd just feel more depressed about myself (I run 10km everyday after work)
even thinking of becoming a veggie to help lose muscle mass, I would also need a new job, I carry industrial knives often weighting
over 30kg, to change them or sharpen them, this is a daily process. No woman can do this job, too heavy.

I bought some "cute" hoodies and a beanie hat though, for the time being. xD

To coin a phrase used frequently in Amateur (Ham) Radio:  "Height is might."  As many others have said, height (if implemented wisely) can be a great asset.  I too am over 6 feet and used to fret over this very topic too much.  Then I also thought about how the situation would be if it was reversed (FTM).  Using one of my cousins as an example (who is under 5 feet), who she be "clocked" if she were go out in male mode?  No, but I know people would look, see a shorter than average person and carry on.

I posted a reply a month or so back regarding this where I listed some famous ladies who are 6 feet and taller.  Of which, I forgot to list Julia Child (who was 6'2").  People come in all shapes and sizes, so it doesn't matter  Be tall and be proud.

I'm 5'10" and I don't usually wear heels of any noticeable height, so I'm not too bad off there. However, I currently live in New Mexico. Everyone here is incredibly short, so I'm a little taller than a good number of men and I tower over most women. Height is the first thing most people notice about me here. I need to move.  :(

Because its genetic makeup is irregular, it quickly changes its form due to a variety of causes.

I'm over 6' and I wear heels all the time. I can't change my height and heels help make my legs look better and my feet look smaller.  I have no idea if I get clocked much and I really don't care.  Nobody says anything to me and I don't see people staring much.  Do what makes you feel good and remember much of passing is confidence and being tall is not an automatic clock.  If it were two of my daughters would spend a lot of time denying they are trans.

There is nothing odd about a tall gal.

My sister is 5-11 and my mom is 6'.
My favorite CIS female friend from college, is 6'1" and she loves to flaunt it. She just oozes sexiness. Guys melt in her presence.

And of course there is Rebecca Romijn.

I hope to meet the same criteria I have always loved in other women.

Tall, athletic, small breasts, long hair in a ponytail, great teeth, casually but beautifully dressed etc

If I can manage the rest tall will fit right in. Will draw the eye due to height but hope to be worth looking at some day (or at least not a monster).

I'm over 6' (although I slouch) and to be honest I always thought I was being clocked but then I realized people just look at me because I'm a tall woman. Which brings me to my latest struggle, I'm realizing Stealth is actually an option - which I am so grateful for. I never hide the fact I'm Trans but I don't make it a point to tell everyone in the world - I don't have the confidence to wear it on my sleeve just yet.

Anyway, tall girls can still pass!
