Usually I start with scrubbing my face before I start shaving, helps the hair follicles get in line, so I won't have too much an issue in a few hours. My facial hair grows extremely quick and as especially when I just rub my face in the slightest, the hair follicles seem to stand out in as little time as possible.
If I just shave my face, then not even a half an hour later I give my cheek a quick swipe , then I see a few follicles, if I take tweezers the hairs are already too long.
But anyways, I use shave butter, getting a good layer over where I'm going to shave, let it sit and moisturize for a minute before I start to shave. Once i am finished with that I do quick touch ups where is needed. Wash my face again. Then use a very small amount of lotion to revitalize the shaven area. I inspect at this point, once I feel more areas I need to fix up, I use a little more lotion in those locations. Once that is done. I wash my face once more to get any excess hairs removed from my face, and making sure the lotion is removed as well.
Then I do lotion up once more.
This is my regime to prevent any razor burn.
