Mitternacht

I recently started a new job at a fairly small company, only about 7 people working there. Iv'e already transitioned to most people outside of family, and usually do contouring, binding, etc to give a more masculine appearance, so I usually do get dressed as male. However, I haven't quite come clean about this at work. A few of my co-workers do know as they met my partner and he addressed me as male. My boss however does not and my nametag and everything has my birth name on it. I know they would not discriminate or anything but it is still nerve-racking to say anything to them. part of me thinks I should just leave it alone. Any thoughts?

thanks

I would say to just go with what feels right. But do not disclose information unless you NEED to. If it is a non-issue then everything should just go as it should. If things arise due to you being who you are, then some things may need slight mention, otherwise, it should just be like any work relation, everything at work be work related.

It is when personal issues and work related issues clash, then it becomes a problem, so if there is no problems, don't mention things that could possibly become an issue within the work relation and the workforce.
I really hope everything turns out smooth for you

If being referred to as your birth name is causing you a lot of distress; from my experience you shouldn't choose to suffer through it if there's the potential of getting rid of that distress. Also I would think it would cause more awkwardness being with your Co workers because your partner referred to you as male; than it would be if they knew you were trans.
They/them pronouns preferred.
