Last night I attended a fantastic and very friendly Transgender support group in Torquay in Devon called Transfigurations. See
http://transfigurations.org.uk/Yesterday we had a very interesting presentation on choosing the right fashion style given by the Lecturer in Fashion Design from South Devon College with a couple of her fashion students.
It was a great night and attended by about 30 MtF and FtM and Non binary members. The organiser is a delightful woman called Carol.
Its an incredibly friendly group and well worth attending.
It meets twice a month on the first Wednesday evening and the third Tuesday evening of each month.
It has also just started a special groups for parents and trans children/youth is now open . Its run by a real nice mother of a transgender child. It will be meeting on a Sunday afternoon and restrictions do apply.
Children up to the age of 13: - All children up to the age of 13 must be accompanied on all visits by a parent or guardian
Children between the ages of 13 to 16: - All children between the ages of 13 to 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for a minimum of their first 3 visits. After that these young people can attend on their own provided that a parent or guardian fills in and returns a Consent Form.
Young people between the ages of 17 to 19: - All teenagers between the ages of 17 to 19 may attend on their own provided that a parent or guardian signs and returns a Consent Form if they are 17.
