i actually don't really actively look at myself and be like "oh yeah, i'm a transguy"
i just think i'm a guy
sometimes i don't even want to mention i'm trans, because i don't feel like that's what i am, kinda. i know that is technically what i am, but it's not a label i feel strongly about.

Oh heck yes!  You are "normal" as yourself and you are the very best judge of what that means.  Labels come and go.  The word Transgender was coined in 1965.  People obviously feel free to use boi, grrl, or whatever floats their boat

The labels are far less important compared to how you feel and what is your authentic core and intrinsic identity.

I really hate this trans thing too. It wasn't all that long ago that the term transsexual was the term to use. I liked that even less. I realize that is the correct medical term for those of us who have baked our cakes, but I still hate it.

I just want to be who I am. The person that people see.

I think many of us can reasonably look at "transgender" or "transition" as a process and not the destination.  I try and wear the label "transgender" with pride along with being proud to be "queer."

Some of us who "pass" consider the terms irrelevant and just part of their past medical/social history that they can choose to reveal or not. 

I rarely use the terms transsexual or homosexual as they are stigmatized and place undue emphasis on sex in our uptight and too puritanical world.  Yes, we are a person not just a sex object.

Yeah I've seen a mix of guys who are stealth or don't want to ID as trans, and others who feel that trans is a big part of their identity. Neither stance is better than the other really, everyone has a different kind of story

Personally I'm kind of split in that I feel like I lived as a female, even if i wasn't one, and so that half of my life (24years) isn't something i want to throw away - however it's personal and I'd like to live as stealth as i can. Kind of "stealth but stuff happens". Transgender is a adjective for me, not a noun lol

I've spent a lifetime perfecting the male aura. That's left a mark.  I don't really know exactly what term I feel connected to anymore.      I'm not sure I'm getting any closer to an answer either.

As for "transgender", I dont even know, less so understand, what that even means these days.

Honestly, I feel the same way. I don't really like the term "transgender". I'm not transitioning genders. My gender has always been male, whether I knew it or not.

I only use the word trans to refer to myself in the context of separating my particular problems and circumstances from those of cis in a discussion about these issues. Otherwise, it's not a necessary term or label to carry all of the time in every place. I certainly do not want "trans" or "trans man" to be my definer.

The only time you'll ever hear me use any variation of the word "trans" to describe myself is in a medical setting, among the trans community, and in conversations with cis people about trans issues. I'm not 100% stealth, but have a lot of passing privilege and I'm largely done with my medical transition. Being trans is an exceptionally small part of what makes me me, and I see no point in giving it more space than it deserves or needs.
