My community finally got an H&M so I went by to check it out. I saw some totally acceptable print boxer briefs but I noticed their waistband sizes don't match the Mossimo undies that were suggested here (and which are awesome and fit me perfectly. I think H&M L is 34-36 and XL is 38-40. I am 36 waist but on the plus side. Let's just say I have a belly. I'm concerned that on a 34-36 the waistband is going to dig into me but maybe the 38-40 will be floppy with too much fabric. Has anyone compared the H&M and Mossimo boxer briefs side by side?

Also, I'm confused by H&M's pricing. For example I looked at their swim trunks and the prices were all over the place and the posted pricing didn't seem to match. Do they put seasonal stuff on sale eventually? I can't swim right now anyway (post op) but I'm itching to try out swim trunks yet I can't really commit to spending a lot on a pair because I'm still trying to figure out what style I like AND will obscure my total lack of bulge. Fortunately natal guys, especially teens, want to obscure any inappropriate bulge anyway which means I have options. (I'm leaning towards very dark colors or very noisy prints.)

I'm a 36" and I wear the XL. I'm thicker through the torso than anywhere else, and that size seemed like a safer choice. Can't tell you how it compares to the L though. I wear an L in Mossimo.

Seasonal stuff at most stores goes on sale as soon as the season is over, and stays on sale until the stuff is gone. I don't think I've ever had trunks from H&M. I've had one pair by Merona and one by Mossimo from Target. They were fine, I just didn't like the cut of them. I wear Chubbies now. They're about triple the price of what I paid for stuff from Target, but the styling is better and they're much more comfortable.

Have you thought about packing while wearing them? I do, and have never had any issues.

As a current employee i can tell you with our products you have to go up at least a size (sometimes you can stick to your normal size). it's all European sizing and so everything runs a bit smaller.  The divided blue section (has the blue tag inside) runs a wee bit smaller, H&M man (black labels) run smaller, mens Logg (beige says logg) is a bit looser and true to size.

I have so many pairs of the boxer briefs because they are really comfy. David Beckham undies are also extremely comfortable but a bit pricey. The thing I dislike is some of the David Beckham underwear bands started to roll after a few washes and that can be fairly annoying. With the regular brand stuff the waist band sometimes rolls up under my stomach.. again fairly annoying. With the pricing i can tell you the best thing to do is to have the cashier look up the price.

The signs can be very confusing but at the very bottom the sign will say ''on select styles''. Anything on sale will have a red sticker on the price and be in the sale section which is normally signed with a red sign. The sign will have a "$3" dollar sale sign but that's only on select items (It really makes people mad because they assume everything is that price point). I would say any swimwear will probably not go on sale until near the end of summer. The current mens swim trunks are actually really well priced (ranging from 5-17.99). I purchased these royal blue ones that had tigers on them and they are fantastic. I also got some trunks from tranzwear to wear underneath them to hold my packer in place. ALSO bring in a bag or two of unwanted clothing (it can be shoes, socks, undies, hats etc.) and you can receive either 15% off on your purchase that day or get the coupon for another. You can get up to 2 coupons a day but can only use one per transaction so you save a few dollars as well.

i have a pair of mossimo trunks and personally i didn't really care for them. They seemed kind of cheapy compared to my H&M stuff.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

I don't pack regularly so that's not a concern for me atm. I don't have a phantom penis and I tend to forget the packer is there until I go to the toilet, unless it's bothering me, then I want it gone. I do have bottom dysphoria and I'd love to find a way to pack that relieved it, but when I'm busy I just don't think about my junk at all, know what I mean?

Raptor, when you say bring in unwanted clothing, is it H&M clothing, or any clothing? I have some old woman clothing I'm getting rid of. I think my wife wants to donate some to homeless women for job interviews but not all of it is business wear.

Thanks for the tips on sizing. Glad I asked.

Any clothing is fine and it doesn't have to be h&m. just throw it in a bag and tell the cashier you have stuff for donation and they'll get you your coupons.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
