Has HRT increased or decreased your libido?

Aloha.  I'm wondering if anyone has had an increased libido since beginning HRT.  I am 47y/o, and have been on HRT since Oct. 18 2014.  I haven't had a relationship in years. Yet since I began hormone treatment, I have found that I am much more aroused more easily. I've read that women on HRT usually don't experience increased libido. And that's my question.  Has anyone here experienced either increased libido, decreased libido or no change?  Honestly I'd like to know if there any other girls that are going through what I'm going through.  I would love y'all's input.  Thanks.
Don't really know what to write here...  So I'll just write a little about myself.  For conciseness, I am a 48 y/o pre-op transsexual who's in a wheelchair.  I'm wheelchair bound due to AVN(avascular necrosis) which took three and a half inches from my right femur and I acquired due to HIV.  I got infected by the first man I was ever with.  So, after spending 40+ years in Texas and getting three felonies, I decided to move to San Francisco.
I got here in 2010 and continued to drug myself until something happened...  I don't remember exactly what happened, but I do know I did something to ease my pain, which didn't help and I ended up in the ER.  After that, mind you I could still walk, barely, I was diagnosed with avascular necrosis.  Immediately I was sent to a hospital in really bad shape.  I was addicted to a copious amount of drugs and weighed less than 90lbs.  I was near death.  I spent two and a half years in hospital, quit drugs, got my own place and am doing quite well.

My male-type arousal dropped to zero and was replaced by a more female sort of sexual feeling. I was glad to be free of the old drive. Now i can definitely become aroused but it has to be choice and included emotional engagement.

Exactly that feeling for me too :D

Porno/lust interest way gone and romantic interest way more engaging.
Open, out and evolving queer trans person forever with HRT support since March 13, 2013

After a week on E & Spiro i went from hyper-sexuality to maybe twice a week. Now I can go weeks without sex and it doesn't matter. Soon I doubt it will work lol. I don't care I'm happier.

Hi

My libido has changed: erections reduced, shrinkage, and very different feelings. Intense need to be held and be with a man for the first time. Too shy yet, but looking forward to post GCS fun.

Definitely decreased it. It slowly ramped up here and there though throughout transition. I find progesterone helps

I never really got turned on by images, only ideas, but my rate was at about a 10. It was difficult to even concentrate on work because of it. After HRT, it dropped to a 0 and I welcome that. I can still enjoy sex, but I don't just suddenly end up in the mood anymore. I need that slow build up now.

Mine dropped significantly in the first month and a half.... then came back to where it was before, but its different now

I still want it often, but its a different experience now, all the way through and the "afterglow" is amazing... I feel like Im doped up in a good way for at least an hour afterward :D

When I began taking estrogen my libido went higher for a little while and then it started dropping. Now I have almost no libido whatsoever, and it requires a lot engagement with my mind to get anywhere. I also must have an emotional connection with the other person or it's not happening.

Life is much better without that old heated, annoying, always on male sex drive  :P

im 4 months into hrt so far, and my experience with my libido at first month was higher male libido (very obnoxious and dominating), and then declined and gone in the second month (and some of the 3rd month), and now is come back very different in the later half of the 3rd month.

My libido as it is now, is always around, but usually unobtrusive, and whenever it/she does pop up, it is very nuanced and enticing, like a meal with lots of different flavors and textures. I won't go into details, except to say that my body is definitely wired up much differently, and my new libido definitely leaves me either very very happy, or in even more needful-ness of wanting a companion, and sometimes even one after the other, and/or both at the same time.

still, i love that my libido hasn't completely died off (yet?), and now fits me better than ever.

Mine dropped to near zero, but I've only been on HRT for 6 weeks.  Perhaps it will pick up down the road but I'm not really expecting it to.

six weeks you say ?

mapping it to the month scale, that's about when my libido declined. :P boy are you (possibly?) in for a fun time, in about 30 more days.  ;D

This is what Im starting to get also... I have always been a highly sexualized person and I do not want to lose that. I knew many super sexual chicks and I want to be one of those ;D

Some days, it's pretty strong, others not so much but I can easily go weeks/months without "it".
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Mine went to nearly zero about 3-4 weeks into my T-blockers. Now about 8 weeks after im finding its coming back a little.

Mine seems to have gone up.

I was suspecting the same as you, that it should or more likely would go down, and I am very surprised.  I think it's because I have been feeling much more happy and confident.  I feel more attractive too.

I've heard that it's possible to get multiple orgasms after being on HRT?  How does that work?

I'm on month 6 and my libido certainly dropped (up and down), yet I don't mind that much.  I do kind of miss sex on a regular basis, though

Zero especially now that I am on CPA, it's kinda disgusting even to think about it coz I don't think I need it :D
