"President Obama has said he's not the one making a big deal over transgender bathrooms.
The President was holding a town hall meeting in Indiana when he was asked why he is making a "big deal" of bathrooms in public schools."

I find it amusing, in a dark kind of way, that the people making a big deal of it are telling our supporters that THEY'RE making a big deal of it because they don't like the response they got from the federal government.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Totally Dee - We just want to take a fundamental right away from some people and use the resulting fear to political ends...Why are you making a big deal out of that?

Unless I misunderstood I found it necessary to exchange "they" for "we" in that sentence in order to parse it. I'm certainly not trying to take anyone's fundamental rights away.
