My class loves jokes and make fun of things. Some times their jokes go too far in my opinion. E.g. 9/11 jokes, Religion jokes, gay jokes and trans jokes. I'm too sensitive or?

A girl in my class just wanted to have a bit humor. She went into the male bathroom and pretended to pee standing up. I got a picture of it by a friend at Snapchat. After she was done, two guys in my class started shouting she was trans. In fact she's cis, but they just made jokes, unnecessary in my opinions. They called her names, said she should go to the male toilet etc. They also shouted they supported a law where which sex you're assigned at birth define which toilet you should go to. She wasn't upset, she joined the joke as well. We live in Norway, not North-Carolina btw. So we don't have such laws. It's alright they are agree with that law, but what's the point with these jokes? It upset me a bit. I admit I said to them I disliked the jokes and found them unnecessary. My class doesn't know I'm trans or gay. But they makes often fun of gays with gay jokes. They have only done a few trans jokes. -_-

The ridicule and jokes can start at an early age.  Most people mature as they get older and take a more logical point of view on things.  Some do not and become more of a problem.  As transgender issues become more accepted the jokes should be fewer.

Hopefully there will be fewer of these jokes in any country, but changing bigoted social attitudes takes decades.
