Just had my 1st Estrogen implant "installed".

Now I hate needles... but Dr Hayes was pretty fantastic. My wife came along for the support!
The experience was great, it was put into my left upper buttock. Ive got a bit of a dull ache now approx 3hrs later.
No more estrogen tablets 3 times per day. Happy days!

I always get euphoria a few days afterwards. Something to look forward to.

Congrats. That spot will be a little tender for a few days but shouldn't be a problem.

Good for you. I'm trying to finally get an implant from a new doc, it's sure a pain in the bull with all these pills & patches, yuck.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Jab, cut, push, sticker, and bandaid!

No more pills, gotta love it!

And the smaller implants seem to agree with people better.
Drifting down the river of life...
My 4+ years non-transitioning HRT experience
Ask me anything!  I promise you I know absolutely everything about nothing! :D

I sure want to move to an implant soon. I tried Climara patches again yesterday, my skin gets so red so quick from those things, yuck.

Hello to all, I live in Warren, MICHIGAN. Does anyone know where to find a dr. That'll prescribe estrogen implants here in the states. I'd hate to have to travel far to get them. Thanks in advance.
Do or do not there is no try!

I might be getting that later this year. Is it painful and are there stitches? It makes me a little queezy...

Dr Hayes does an anesthetic injection first, after which the implant is totally painless. I find the anesthetic itself stings quite a lot, but others say it doesn't. Dr Hayes current implants are quite small and heal relatively quickly. Some discomfort for a few days, and I can notice for a week or so (maybe 2 , I forget). He used to use larger implants that needed a stitch and took a bit longer to heal. Still totally worth it though.

I have a bit of a phobia with injections and I have no issues at all with implants. I love them.

Will see how I go. If my bloods show my liver isn't doing as well taking the HRT orally I'll definitely look into the implant. Thanks. :)

If you have the option to get an implant I'd strongly recommend doing it.

It's a higher and more consistent delivery of Estrogen, definitely a good reason to try it out. I've found my moods are much better too!
