I know I have been hiding contemplating but this happened to jump into my head.

If I were to pick a symbol from nature it would be the Edleweiss.

Reason why is that it is a flower that lives in a very harsh climate yet survives none the less. Even though the climate it lives in can kill the plant it is very resilient to live on.

Anyway just my 2 cents I am sure there are more symbols out there:)

I like that! I'd pick the clownfish. If two clownfish of the same gender colonise a sea anemone, one of them changes gender so they can survive. Besides, they're pretty.

I would pick the butterfly. It starts out its life as a caterpiller, then after it transforms, it is a beautiful butterfly.

A dandelion
Most people would rather pick it out of the yard and see it as a nuance then something worth while.
Most people are blind to what the Dandelion can actually do it's more then just a weed its a plant that has healing properties and it can also be used on foods or as teas. Not only that but its just a wonderful color and is always bright
but nobody see's its true ability's or gives a chance to show them its more then it seems.
I always liked dandelions as a child because they where pretty but nobody else around me likes them
i can relate, nobody really ever understands me as a person that or they don't see who i really am inside (Not just trans related but much more) And i guess the dandelion has the same problem.

Sunrise. No matter how much, you may not want to see another one, it happens anyway. No matter how much others love the darkness, (what they want to be true), it lights up the darkness to see what is there, what is true.

Sunrise, is perhaps, what transgender and LGBTIQQ, give to the world. Information and always because of money and ignorance, information from those that have seen things from the other side.

If I was allowed to pick any symbol for the transgendered, it would be the symbol for infinity. The same information, once accepted, stays, and when traversing around that symbol, as a path, no bumps are seen as one comes back or goes, from one side to the other, and back again.

I've been thinking about this as well- Ive been thinking about getting another tattoo to symbolize what I have realized about life,love, gender, sexuality,change etc etc that Ive learned after everything with everything that has occurred with my ex coming out to me and transitioning.  I feel like butterflies are the ones I see the most...

I was on instagram earlier and saw some Parrotfish Trans-pride stickers . They are kinda like the clownfish, where one of them changes from female to male when they need to -- kinda cool. Im a big scuba diver and there are actually quite a few fish that do this.

HYDROGEN. It's the most elemental, abundant, balanced and powerful yet does not occur so-called "naturally" upon this earth at all!

I like the Butterfly.

They start life as a caterpillar.  They instinctually do what they need to survive.  They play the part of alpha, being sometimes aggressive, venomous and being a voracious eater, consuming more than what they really need.  But deep down inside, they know that being a caterpillar is not their true calling.  One day they put themselves into a vulnerable position.  They spin their shell, undergo a series of processes that will enable them to become what they were meant to be.  They finally emerge and spread their wings as a beautiful butterfly!

I'd say a tardigrade, or what's more commonly known as water bear.

Tardigrades are nearly invincible. They can survive in extreme temperatures and in extreme climates. Because of this toughness, I think that they are very similar to trans people who constantly have to be tough. It hurts when you are told that your identity is invalid; that you aren't "trans enough" to count; that you are just "faking it". But we don't let these toxic comments bring us down. We don't give up. We survive no matter what.

Chameleon? No, I guess that more describes the mental state many of us grow up in.

I feel like there are so many ways to be trans, there's really no one thing that can encompass all of us...
