A terrorist bomb has exploded in the ladies toilet / restroom near Chicago, reports WGN-TV Chicago.

So now we trans ladies face REAL terrorist bombs exploding against us in ladies rooms inside the United States.
ho
Has it REALLY finally come down to THIS ??

Really ?

A violent WAR has been launched against us inside the United States. And I don't expect this war to end anytime soon.

I feel safer outside the United States and I will continue to stay away from my home country. My Passport is female gender from the United States.

I have read the news on this event but it seems a little off to me. I mean, was this some kid with a cherry-bomb in a bottle? Are we getting worked up over a pre-teen prank? I think this because the internet is filled with instructions for terrible devices that pack so much harm than what was described in the news here. Does anyone else feel the same way??

I thought that the woman they arrested was in her 40s - pre-teen prank? Bit old for that.

According to WGN TV, a television superstation known throughout much of the United States. the terrorist is a woman in her 40s.

NO sorry not a teenage prank.

And police are apparently downplaying the bathroom policy.  Of course, if she's a "person of interest" rather than a suspect, I'm not sure how they make that call.

And I'm shocked that the AFA clowns haven't said anything.  Shocked, I say.
When in doubt, ignore the moral judgments of anybody who engages in cannibalism.

Oh, yikes... I didn't read that a suspect was detained yet. Sadly, I was wrong and this was not a pre-teen prank. I don't want to live in fear but I also don't want to be ignorant to the dangers abound. Nor do I want to persecute a person based on conjecture and news report. I guess we will all have to wait and see what comes out of this.

I live in Canada and seen from the outside this whole restroom issue in the US seems so... I don't know, I have no words for it. Good luck, Rose.

Hi Rose, The word that might fit here is so.......PRIMITIVE. In many respects human beings are still very barbaric and primitive. Canada and most of Europe are much more enlightened and common sense about the toilet/bathroom issue IMO. I'm American btw. but I've lived outside the USA for more than a decade. xx

Nothing to see here, folks.  Police in Evanston are saying that this was neither terrorism nor related to Target's bathroom policy.  From the description in this article, it was just some woman trying to get high.

Chicago woman held on $250K bail in explosion in Evanston Target bathroom

"Police said in an earlier news release that they discovered through the course of their investigation that Schmidt was inside the stall at the time the incident occurred based on witness accounts and surveillance footage. The department received assistance during the investigation from the Cook County Bomb Squad.

A plastic bottle, believed to be the source of the explosion upon initial examination, was recovered from the stall in addition to "items that are commonly combined in a method to produce a chemical high, but during the mixture process can become volatile and explode," according to the release."

Hello Jennifer, for so long the US was THE most progressive and advanced nation on earth, what happened? I find this very strange since over here it's not even an issue, at least I never heard of anything like that. Sometimes this kind of 'blow it all up' mentality scares me, what if for example an illuminated paranoid nut decided to push the red button, we're all history. I think it was General Lemay who once said: ''If all the russians are dead and there's one american left, we won!'' Oups, I think I got lost a little here, ha ha. So anyway, there's a lot of hatred in the air nowadays and it's not easy (for me) to figure out, let's just hope we come out of that insane inhuman phase without too much damage.

Take good care of yourself my friend, Rose.

It sounds like some meth head was screwing around to me.

Could be but then, why did the news talk about trans people at all?

Modified: Just checked it out, seems right wing christians are criticizing Target's trans-friendly bathroom policy and that the media instantly linked that to a ridiculously small plastic bottle explosion that couldn't have hurt anyone, without even a shred of evidence, WEIRD!

U2 Rose, take care my friend.

I am American but I've lived outside the USA for 10 years -- MY choice. Canada does many things better. Saying this might seem controversial to some, but I feel it to be true. I might actually end up in Canada at some point here we shall see. I was last in Canada more than 10 years ago but just to visit. I've been multiple times to Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, and Niagara Falls. And once each to Winnipeg, Edmonton and Whitehorse.  I sure have lived in plenty of countries and plenty of continents !

Wow, seems like you've traveled a lot, that is the one thing I feel I didn't do enough in my life but it's ok, I've got dreams for that. So anyway, if you eventualy decide to move up here, let me be the first to welcome you: Welcome to Canada, please have your warm clothes ready and if you have anything to declare, well, we're listening!  Ha ha!

                                                                                Cheers, Rose.
