I don't know how to bind in this weather. It's literally 99 degrees here. :(

I'm thinking about getting a GC2B Binder but I'm worried there won't be a point in spending 35$ on it if I won't be able to wear it without sweating to death. Maybe GC2B tri-top idk.

I use a GC2B tri top binder and I found it doesn't make me hot at all in summer; although it can stick to you a bit :P. Not sure about any DIY options apart from the two bras method or perhaps wearing a compression shirt.

Double sports bra may work, depending on how big you are. On really, really hot days I would give that a shot before I used my binder. I found that getting one that is a size smaller than you usually wear layered with a normal sized one seemed to be pretty effective.

I used to work in a restaurant and was almost always in the back kitchen area. In summer, it was so hot the thermometer stopped working because it didn't go above two digits (it was over 115 °F once inside). Somehow I lived with two underworks full binders and my uniform.... ??? And in high school (before I started binding) I wore a hoodie all year round due to dysphoria. I guess I would rather choose discomfort over a panic attack. :P
If you feel the need to wear a binder like I did, drink lots of water, keep your hair up or short, and find ways to control your breathing so that you don't get overheated as easily (this helped for me, but keep in mind everyone is different).
Otherwise like others have said, sports bras doubled up could potentially work. And what you suggested (a Tri-top) might work too, although I've never worn one for the same reasons as you stated. Good luck.

I felt like I was in an absolute hell when I had to bind during the summer. I believe I had the Mansculpture brand for a little bit. I remember I had to wear a button up and that because of the dysphoria. I was doing maintenance work and was always on a ladder, up high, and changing hot ass light bulbs. I could always feel the sweat just pouring down my back, I guess that's why I was always so damn moody and pissed off all the time. On top of all that and it being a million degrees outside, some of the stores I went to didn't have their air working properly so the store it self would be around 80 degrees. I switched to the GCB2 and it seemed a tad bit better than what I wore before.

This is my first real summer without boobs since my last one was spent recovering. The best decision I ever made.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

I've been looking at guys during the summer and the ones who are my level of bodyfat all have man titties. Actually, I probably look a little weird without them, post op. Of course, we are not proportional but depending on your weight you could get away with a looser binder and just look like a fat boy. If you're skinny then this gambit will not work.

I'm looking GC2B's binders and my chest measures 30 inches, but my shoulders are 36 inches. I can't figure out which size is going to get past shoulders, bind without limiting my lung capacity. My chest is small, almost like gynecomastia.

GC2B Binder:
Medium 34"-36"
or
Large 34"-36"

??? (I emailed them as well but still waiting for response...)

I don't know how wide my shoulders are but I know my chest is 34 inches; so I'd say go for a medium. I tried a large but it was much too big. I emailed the company too asking for advice and got a helpful reply back fairly quickly :)

Probably best to hear back from them as far as the best size to completely flatten your chest. Although if you have a small chest, regardless of shoulder size I used to find it better to go for the smaller size (you'd be surprised how you can contort yourself to get into those things, lol).

About wearing them in summer, before I had surgery I wore them in all weather even when it got 35+ Celsius (and living in a place with no air conditioning). I didn't find it made a huge difference in the heat, the only thing is it gets a bit more difficult to get off when you're that sweaty :P I used to wear tritops and imo especially beneficial in the summer to get some air in.

Summer is my favorite season because of tans and no bone chilling, painful cold. However the dysphoria is so strong I'm in a constant state of depression. Add to this the people I live with refuse to run the AC and there are no shade trees. It's 90-100 in the house and 90 outside. I also work in a factory 8 hours a day and it was 123 and climbing when I checked the thermostat yesterday at noon. I haven't been in AC for more than 20 minutes in the last 3 weeks. The tape that I bind with won't stick because of all the sweat. My sports bra is soaked within a few minutes of putting it on.
I would die if I was using an actual binder.

If you have ever worn a bra, a GC2B binder is no hotter than any normal undergarment that covers your chest area.  I wore mine riding horses yesterday.  We jumped with no stirrups and no reins (very hard work), and I was sweating like a pig.  We had a high that day of 97 degrees with 90% humidity, and my binder was causing no additional heat.  Now, I kind of wished I could just take off all my clothes and wash myself off with the hose, but the binder wasn't the problem!   ;)

My chest (unbound) is 34 inches (C cup) and i have a small and a medium. I based my choice on chest size rather than shoulders. The small is the best from the pov of binding, and the medium is good enough, although i sometimes get some slippage. I find they both fit okay over my shoulders (that said i have hypermobile shoulders which probably makes it easier to get them on and off!)

If your chest is a 30, I feel like medium or large might be too big for you, but definitely wait to hear back from GC2B before you order one just in case. If you've got a lot of muscle on your upper body you should probably account for that, so that you can get them on without them splitting.

I am a 34 barely B cup.  Before T I got a small and it was great.  After 4 months on T I ordered another small and ripped the seams trying to get it over my shoulders.  I went up to medium and it was great.  I just couldn't do small after my shoulders widened.
