If so, what is your favorite kind? or kinds?

Has that changed since being more 'out' or since transitioning?

I think I notice them more. :icon_bunch:

I always liked flowers, amongst other things, but I never felt like I was really... "allowed to", if you know what I mean. Nowadays I enjoy the things I enjoy, take the time to learn about and appreciate them.

As to what flowers I like: My favourite is the Amaranth flower (BIG surprise!)

Amarant, or Amaranth, from the Greek "Amaranthos" - "One which does not wither", "the never-fading". I kinda like that. Besides, it's really pretty!

We also have a few flowers back home in South Africa that are just... amazing. This one:

The Chasmanthe Iris, for example.

i love them. i love to see them in the garden, i love to be given them too.
i received 3 lovely bunches for christmas and new year; now they are dried and make such a lovely display to remind me of the day.
drying flowers instead of throwing them out is a new hobby of mine. i wished i had thought of doing it years ago.  my favorite: daisies, roses, carnations..

My favorites, in no particular order, lilacs, foxglove and lupine. Not that I mind any others. I raise lillies, columbine, clematis and callas (lots of "c"s)  ^-^ And I love getting flowers of any kind.

I love flowers! Love to get them, love to have them in my flat, love to take pictures of them...and when they die...press them so I can save some of them too.

I'm not overly picky about the flowers I like...I like a variety of them.

Peace and love,

I love flowers. My favorite? That's really tough, that's kinda asking me what form of chocolate do I like best! All?

Well, before I came out I was always good at picking out flowers but didn't care much for them myself.  Now, well I'll just say my wife and I were discussing possible FFS for my.  She commented that she hoped there was a gift shop and what popped out of my mouth was "To get me flowers?"

When I was a kid I really loved tulips especially the lavender ones. Now I like a variety of flowers but roses and carnations(last longer) are really nice to receive. I still really like all the shades purple and red.

Yes, I love flowers.....always have.  I like pansies, petunias, all kinds of tiny shade-loving flowers, day lillies, all make me happy, and feel at peace.  But my very favorite, are cut flower bouquets my love brings me once in a while, usually just because she loves to see me smile.

MARRIAGE SEMINAR

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,

Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,

'It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes.'

He addressed the man,

'Can you name your wife's favorite flower?'

Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, 'It's Pillsbury, isn't it?

My off time apartment is located in one of the most verdant areas in the world, where Luther Burbank set up shop because just about anything will grow here, and even though its the Rose City, roses are not the only flower.  Taking pictures of flowers is one of my favorite activities.

I love flowers, I really do.  Anything with a lovely scent such as roses, carnations, freesias, etc. Philadelphus which is strictly a shrub, has the most wonderful scent, it is also known as Mock Orange.  I always keep a vase full of flowers at home.  Like animals, flowers tend to relaxe me a lot.  My boyfriend always brings me flowers, sometimes a single rose and that makes my day...

I'm quite fond of the "Night Blooming Cerus" also know as "Queen of the night." A friend gave me a starter plant about two years ago, and it bloomed (below) for the first time last year. It has the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen, and a wonderful aroma.

Unfortunately the bloom wilts and dies in a matter of just a few hours. They usually bloom between 10pm and midnight, and are wilt away by first light. You do get quite a bit of warning though as the buds will appear and grow for several days. When they stop growing and get red tips on the end of the bud, it's time to set up the camera and tripod.

They are very easy to care for because they are of the cacti family, and don't overly mind being neglected. They are also easy to start. Any leaf, part of a leaf, or stem piece will take root if put into the soil. One time I took a piece of stem about a foot long and cut it into 4 pieces and planted them. They all sprouted up nicely in a few weeks.

These are truly a pass-along plant.

I like em in fields.

Especially little daisys, or dandelions.

Or a bluebell wood, we used to live near a bluebell wood, that looked the shady version of heaven.

cheers, I didn't take it - but such woods are all over the UK....where I grew up was a massively expanding town on ancient woodland (where the bluebells grow) so as well as pretty urban stuff, a lot of building sites, rubble and smashed bottles - I also grew up near loads of wood like that. Needs some rotting motorcycle bits and an old shopping trolley to really recreate the scene...but it was lovely and I forgot about them till today - thanks for this thread or I never would have remembered.

I've always liked flowers. My favorites have always, always been tulips. I could look at a field of tulips all day :)

I am also very fond of wild flowers. I love the look of a bouquet of wild flowers just picked and bunched together. There's something very beautiful and poetic about it. I hope someday to receive some of those from someone I love :) Meghan

I like flowers, they are pretty, but I do have an allergy to them, so I do not like to get flowers.

I love Orchids.
