The good: Every time my wife hugs me and says, "I love you no matter what." And she goes with me to group on family night every month.
The bad: Last year, I held what has become a roughly annual meeting of the same five guys I hung out with all through high school and weekends until the end of college. One of them cracked a joke about Caitlyn Jenner (deadnamed her as a matter of fact). Later my wife said, "You can't come out to those guys." More recently another one of them came out on the wrong side of the bathroom debate on Facebook. Sigh. It is what it is.
