I'm sitting in a hotel room trying to figure out my next move on where to go and my case worker from Blue Cross calls me and we're talking about getting me help with grocery shopping and cleaning. She didn't know I had been evicted and wanted to come meet with me and I had to tell her I was evicted.. She said she'd talk to some her manager about finding me a place and hung up. She called back a few minutes later and said she might find a place by next week. So things have taken a major turn for the better.

I can't pretend to imagine what it is like not knowing where your basic needs are coming from next. I'm just very sorry you or anyone has to face such things. We have so much in this world concentrated in the hands of so few, there is more than enough to take care of everyone.

I'm glad to hear there are some glimmers of positives about a living space for you.

Hugs..Robyn

I spend an awful lot of time dealing with people who have housing problems.  It's hard, and it doesn't get easier with practice.  You're looking for help both with the housing and dealing with it.  That's about all you can do.
When in doubt, ignore the moral judgments of anybody who engages in cannibalism.

I really hope things pick up for yourself Stephanie.
I have known the struggles of eviction before and it is not a pretty thing. I've been at that turn in my life, having been evicted essentially three times in my two year stay out in Georgia. Twice on my record, the third was when my ex's friend had to move us out because her own mother was coming to stay.
Well I only really had very very limited help when I was out there, and am grateful for the help and friends I did make while there.
I hope you dont have to wait long before your help comes in and picks up the little bit so you can be on your way!

thanks everyone, I have a lot of hope now. When I got out of the hospital I went to a hotel to try to figure out what to do. While sitting in the hotel  Medicare rep called me and found out my status so she started to investigate. She's been incredibly nice and I could have something this week hopefully , Hotels are nice , but expensive. I can't last in a motel very long so I'll have to get something.
